Scott J. Lucius comes from the quiet countryside of rural Ohio, where he grew up with his siblings, learning life’s lessons from his dedicated father. His father’s simple but powerful advice, “Work hard and play harder,” left a lasting impression on Scott, teaching him the value of both dedication and enjoyment in life.
Scott’s educational path was diverse and lengthy, spanning 15 years. He explored various fields, including computer science, management information systems, art, literature, and social work. During these years, his love for poetry grew silently, waiting for the right time to emerge. It wasn’t until he retired from a notable career in technology that Scott fully embraced his passion for writing.
Scott resides in Santa Fe, New Mexico, with his trusted four-legged companion, Pipes. He has been engaged in writing poetry since his middle school years. His passion for the written word provides him with a medium to inspire others through his poetry. He frequently draws upon his own life experiences-encompassing grief, love, joy, and the splendor he perceives in the world-as sources of inspiration for his work. It was later in life that Scott began to approach his writing with a heightened level of seriousness, reaching a point where he felt comfortable sharing his poems with a broader audience.
